We currently have an opportunity for an independent teacher to run classes in The Hub space at 47/49 Tanner Street. The space is suitable for a variety of classes, such as yoga, dance, singing, pilates, drawing etc. The use of the space would be free, provided that you can be flexible and aware that we may need to cancel or rearrange the class if we have a commercial booking. If you think you may be interested in running a class please read on.
What we can offer:
- Free use of the Hub space any weekday evening, with classes starting around 18:30.
- Publicising your classes to our network.
What we would need from you:
- An understanding that we could cancel the class when a booking comes in and that you would need to notify students. Of course we will try to give as much notice as possible, but due to the nature of our bookings occasionally things come in quite last minute.
- You would be responsible for running the class, recruiting students, charging an appropriate amount to cover your fee and expenses (please bear in mind though we would like the price to be accessible to a range of people). This opportunity is therefore probably most appropriate for a teacher already practicing elsewhere.
Other things you should consider:
- There are no curtains in the Hub. The street outside is fairly quiet but it is possible for people to look in.
- Classes would need to be free for our small staff and volunteer team.
